Getting this error every time after booting the windows. The message says "The code execution cannot proceed because libvlccore.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."

Tried reinstalling the VLC media player again and again but still getting this error message. If anyone has the solution to get rid of this error message please do reply.

Cheers,

    Hi,

Please open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and click on the Startup tab.

Look for the DynamicTransponder32 entry. Right-click on it and choose Disable.

This stops the app from loading at startup.

However, if you need this software and want to fix the libvlccore.dll error, try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

Or uninstall VLC Player and download the VLC Player (32-bit Edition instead of the 64-bit one) as DynamicTransponder32.exe sounds to be a 32-bit program.

    VLC Player (32-bit) https://images.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

Once done, you can find libvlccore.dll in the following path.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\libvlccore.dll

If necessary, copy the file to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder.

DynamicTransponder32.exe is not part of standard Windows or VLC. The error at startup indicates that some third‑party program or leftover component is trying to launch DynamicTransponder32.exe and load VLC’s libvlccore.dll, but the DLL is missing or the program is corrupted.

To get rid of the message, remove or disable the component that starts DynamicTransponder32.exe rather than repeatedly reinstalling VLC.

Follow these steps on Windows 10:

    1. Check for malware or unwanted software
      • Run a full scan with your installed antivirus.
      • Then run an additional scan with another trusted antimalware product.
      • If anything related to DynamicTransponder32 or unknown media/streaming tools is detected, quarantine or remove it.
    2. Remove the startup entry
      • Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager.
      • Go to the Startup tab.
      • Look for any entry that mentions DynamicTransponder32, VLC helper, or an unknown publisher.
      • Select it and click Disable.
      • Restart Windows and confirm the error no longer appears.
    3. Check Task Scheduler
      • Press Win+R, type taskschd.msc, and press Enter.
      • In Task Scheduler Library, look for tasks that reference DynamicTransponder32.exe or an unknown program in the Actions tab.
      • For any suspicious task, right‑click and choose Disable (or Delete if sure it is not needed).
    4. Check the Run registry keys (advanced) Editing the registry incorrectly can cause system problems. Back up the registry first as described in the referenced article before making changes.
      • Press Win+R, type regedit, and press Enter.
      • Navigate to:
        • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
        • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
      • In each key, look for values that launch DynamicTransponder32.exe or an unknown executable.
      • Delete only those specific values.
      • Close Registry Editor and restart Windows.
    5. Repair system files if Windows behaves abnormally
      • Open an elevated Command Prompt (Run as administrator).
      • Run:
        • sfc /scannow
      • Wait for the scan to complete and follow any instructions to repair corrupted system files.

If the error persists after removing all startup references and scheduled tasks, and scans show no malware, consider using a repair or reset of Windows while keeping files, as described in the referenced materials, to restore system stability.
