Issue with duplicate Linked PCs and inability to remove old entries.

I am facing a persistent issue with the Link to Windows app. My dashboard shows three different entries for "Linked PCs" ([Moderator note: PII removed]), but they are all actually the same physical computer.

Because of these duplicate entries, I am experiencing several problems:

Connectivity Conflicts: The app often gets confused between the active and inactive sessions.

Media/Audio Issues: I cannot consistently use my PC speakers to play music from my phone.

File Sharing: Transferring files often fails because it tries to connect to the "Disconnected" versions of the same PC.

Most importantly, there is no visible option to remove or unpair these duplicate/offline PCs from this menu.

Please provide a way to delete old PC entries directly from the mobile app and fix the synchronization bug that creates these duplicates.

I'm facing that problem in phones app

tell me how to remove these duplicates

Problems I am experiencing:

Connectivity Conflicts: The app often gets confused between the active and inactive sessions.

Media/Audio Issues: Even when I switch the audio output to "PC Speakers," the music often continues to play from the phone's hardware. When it does switch, the sound is unstable with frequent stuttering and cutting out.

File Sharing Failures: Transferring files is nearly impossible as the connection automatically disconnects mid-way. I have to manually reconnect the devices repeatedly, but the "Disconnected" duplicate profiles interfere with the process.

Steps I have already taken (Problem persists):

Hardware Upgrade: I replaced my Bluetooth and Wi-Fi adapters with high-end premium models to rule out hardware bottlenecks.

Driver Maintenance: Updated all Bluetooth, Network, and Audio drivers to their latest versions.

Factory Reset: I have reset my phone and even performed a full PC Reset (Windows reinstallation).

Result: Instead of fixing the issue, the list of duplicate profiles grew even longer, and the synchronization bug remains.

There is no visible option to remove or unpair these duplicate/offline PCs from the mobile app menu. Please provide a way to delete these old entries directly and fix the synchronization bug that creates these duplicates.

    Hi Punit,

As a PhoneLink user myself, I totally understand your frustration. Several users have mentioned similar situations. To not waste your time on running around false solutions, here's the direct answer:

As of current, you cannot remove previously linked PCs from Link to Windows app.

But it's the same PC? The different editions and resets created different sessions. From your phone's point of view, it was talking to 3 devices instead of just one, generating 3 links.

For now, the only suggestion I have is to report this to Microsoft and wait for the changes. You can make your own request by pressing Win + F or find the same ones in Feedback Hub and upvote them, for example: https://aka.ms/AAstmsw

I know this is not an answer you're hoping for, but I think it's better to be truthful and direct with you.
