    Hi warren dixon,

    Thank you for your response.
I have found some threads that users experienced the same issue as yours, please feel free to check them out here:

Here are some steps that you can kindly try these steps:
    Clear the Local State Cache:

    1. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
    2. Type the following command exactly as shown and press Enter: olk.exe --clearLocalState.
    3. This will reset temporary cached data. Once complete, relaunch Outlook and attempt to sign in with your original account credentials.

If the Problem Persists, Reset the Olk Folder:

    1. Press the Windows key + R again to open the Run dialog box.
    2. Copy and paste %LocalAppData% into the field and press Enter. This will open the Local AppData folder in File Explorer.
    3. Navigate to the "Microsoft" folder within it.
    4. Locate the "Olk" folder.
    5. Before making changes, create a backup by copying the entire "Olk" folder to a safe location, such as your Desktop or Documents folder.
    6. Delete the original "Olk" folder.
    7. Relaunch Outlook and try signing in again.

    None of the suggestions worked.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the "New" Outlook, restarted computer and it still will not open the app.

    Hello warren dixon,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how frustrating it is when New Outlook for Windows does not open, especially when you rely on it for daily use. At the moment, the description is quite limited, so it is difficult to identify the exact cause, but there are a few basic checks that may help in the meantime.

To start, please try the following:

    1. Reset New Outlook from Windows settings
      • Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps
      • Locate Outlook (new), select Advanced options, then choose Reset
      • After the reset completes, restart the device and try opening New Outlook again
    2. Confirm Windows is fully up to date
      • Go to Settings > Windows Update
      • Install any pending updates and restart the device
    3. If New Outlook still does not open, try launching it once from the Start menu rather than a pinned shortcut, to rule out a shortcut‑related issue.

To help narrow this down and provide more targeted guidance, could you please confirm the following details:

    • Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?
    • What happens exactly when you try to open New Outlook (for example, nothing happens, it opens briefly and closes, or it stays on a loading screen)?
    • Are you able to access your mailbox at outlook.com in a web browser?

Once these details are available, the next steps can be tailored more accurately.

I hope this helps move things in the right direction, and I look forward to your update.
