Founders Hub: Account Provisioning Loop - Azure Credits active but Startup Profile/Benefits tab missing

Hello,

I am stuck in a sign-up/redirect loop when trying to access the Founders Hub dashboard. While my Azure Sponsorship ($1,000) is active and visible in the Azure Portal (portal.azure.com), the Founders Hub portal does not recognize my account as "Fully Provisioned."

Symptoms:

When I log in to the portal.startup.microsoft.com, I am redirected back to the sign up page

I cannot access the Benefits tab to redeem Microsoft 365 Business Premium or Dynamics 365 licenses. It's so frustrating I can't access the benefits page even after 4 days.

Thanks

AK

    Hey Akshaya,

it sounds like you’ve completed the Azure Sponsorship signup (you see the $1,000 in portal.azure.com) but your Microsoft for Startups (Founders Hub) account never fully flipped over to “Provisioned,” so you end up in a signup-redirect loop and no Benefits tab shows up. Here’s what you can try:

    1. Confirm you’re on the right portal+identity
    2. Complete the “Activate Azure” flow in Founders Hub
      • Once logged in, click the blue “Activate Azure” button on your Founders Hub homepage.
      • Select “Link Microsoft account,” pick the MSA that has your active Azure Sponsorship, and click “Activate.”
      • Click “Complete Azure sign-up,” add a payment method (you won’t be charged until credits expire), and finish.
      • Note: credits can take up to 24 hours to appear, and until they do the portal may keep looping you back to signup.
    3. Finish your startup profile
      • After activation, hit the “Startup profile” tab, fill out your company details, and save. Microsoft uses that info to verify provisioning.
    4. Clear cache or try an incognito/private-browsing window
      • Old cookies can cause redirect loops. A fresh session often clears it up.
    5. Check your directory admin settings
    6. Wait a bit and revisit the Benefits tab
      • Once your Azure account is linked, startup profile is complete and your MSA is an admin, you should see the Benefits tab appear (where you can redeem Microsoft 365, Dynamics, etc.).

If after 24 hours you’re still stuck in a loop and can’t access the Benefits page, let us know:

    • Are you signing in with a work/school account or an MSA?
    • Do you see any error messages when you try to link your account?
    • Can you share a screenshot of the redirect loop (without PII)?

The Azure Sponsorship being active in the Azure portal while the Founders Hub (Microsoft for Startups portal) keeps redirecting to sign-up indicates an issue with startup program provisioning or account recognition, not with the Azure credits themselves.

From the available information, the supported next steps are:

    1. Verify Microsoft for Startups eligibility and status
      • Sign in to the Microsoft for Startups portal and confirm that the startup is shown as accepted/eligible and not still in a pending or incomplete state.
      • If the portal does not show the expected status or continues to loop to sign-up, this is a provisioning problem that must be handled by the program’s support team.
    2. Use the dedicated Microsoft for Startups support channel
      • For issues specifically with activating or accessing startup benefits (including Founders Hub / Investor Offer benefits such as Microsoft 365 or Dynamics 365), use the Microsoft for Startups support route documented for activation and eligibility problems.
      • The startup activation FAQ and troubleshooting guidance direct to the Microsoft for Startups help portal when:
        • The system does not recognize eligibility (for example, “You aren't eligible for this offer”), or
        • There are problems redeeming or activating startup benefits.
    3. Use Azure support if needed for the sponsorship subscription
      • The $1,000 startup credit offer includes a Basic support plan on the Azure Sponsorship subscription, which covers billing and subscription management. If the issue is blocking use of the sponsorship subscription itself (for example, no subscriptions can be created), a support request can be opened from the Azure portal under Help + support.
    4. If still blocked from redeeming benefits
      • Because the Founders Hub/benefits provisioning and the Azure Sponsorship are tied to program-side verification, and the account is already showing active credits in Azure but not as fully provisioned in the startup portal, resolution requires direct intervention from Microsoft for Startups support to correct the account state.

In summary, the loop and missing Benefits tab are not resolvable from the Azure side alone. The documented path is to verify Microsoft for Startups status in the startup portal and then open a Microsoft for Startups support request so the team can fix the provisioning state and enable access to the Benefits tab (including Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Dynamics 365 offers).
