I want to add Copliot to my 1 year Business Standard subscription. Can I do this and get the bundled price of £16.94 that I see Microsoft are advertising?

    Hi @David Jones

Thank you for reaching out. According your concern, you can absolutely add Copilot to an active Microsoft 365 Business Standard subscription. Microsoft states that Microsoft 365 Copilot Business is available as an add‑on for customers who already have eligible Microsoft 365 business plans, including Business Standard.

Regarding the £16.94 price you’re seeing, that specific figure is shown on Microsoft’s UK “plans with Copilot” pricing page as the promotional bundle price for the combined “Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Microsoft 365 Copilot Business” plan, billed annually. In other words, it is presented as a bundled subscription purchase rather than an add‑on price applied to an existing standalone Business Standard subscription.

Since you already have Business Standard in place, the most practical way to move forward is to keep your current Business Standard subscription and purchase Microsoft 365 Copilot Business as a separate add‑on license for the users who need it. That approach aligns with Microsoft’s licensing model for Copilot Business as an add‑on to Business Standard.

On Microsoft’s UK add‑ons pricing page, Copilot Business is listed as “now starting from £13.80 user/month, paid yearly” (annual subscription), which is the option I’d recommend in your situation if your goal is to add Copilot without replacing your existing Business Standard subscription.

For your reference, these are the two official pages that show the two different price points (bundle vs add‑on):

Copilot can be added to an existing Microsoft 365 Business Standard subscription as an add-on, but the specific bundled price shown (for example, £16.94) isn’t defined in the provided information.

    From the available details:

    • Eligibility: A Microsoft 365 Business Standard plan is eligible to buy Microsoft 365 Copilot Business as an add-on.
    • Seat limit: Copilot Business supports up to 300 seats per tenant.
    • Commitment: Copilot Business is sold on an annual commitment (with monthly or annual billing) and there’s no month-to-month purchasing agreement.
    • Existing Copilot add-on customers must generally wait until the end of their annual commitment to change Copilot plans, but they can buy more Copilot Business licenses at any time.

To see the exact price applicable to the tenant (including any local currency bundle offers) and confirm whether the advertised £16.94 bundle applies, the subscription owner or admin must check the Microsoft 365 admin center or the official pricing pages for the region.
