I want to change my subscription to Windows 365 to a personal one from a family one

To change from Microsoft 365 Family to Microsoft 365 Personal, switch to a subscription with fewer features.

Follow these steps:

1. Go to the Subscriptions page at https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account used for the current Family subscription.
2. Under the Microsoft 365 Family subscription, select Manage.
3. Select Cancel subscription.
4. On the Cancel page, choose the Microsoft 365 Personal plan as the new plan with fewer features.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the switch.

Notes:

• The existing Family subscription may not change immediately; it will automatically change to the Personal plan when the current term renews.
• Charges for the new Personal plan start when it renews into that plan.

If the subscription was purchased through a third-party billing partner (such as Apple App Store, Google Play, or a retail partner), subscription management (including switching plans) must be done through that partner. In that case, go to https://account.microsoft.com/services, select Manage for the subscription, and follow the guidance or contact the partner’s support.
