If it still shows pending, the invite was not fully completed on their side.
Ask them to double-check this:
- Sign in here using the invited account: https://account.microsoft.com/family
- Look for the invite again and click Accept
- Make sure they are signed in with the correct email (the one you invited)
If it still shows pending after that, try this:
- Remove the invite from your side > Send a new invite
- Ask them to accept it again (while signed in)
Also have them check:
- Did they open the invite while logged into a different Microsoft account? (very common issue)
- Once it’s accepted properly, the status will change from Pending > Member, and their 365 benefits should activate automatically.
