Ever since March 4, 2026, no Gmail messages have been forwarded to my Outlook account. I keep getting the following error message:

Task ‘Synchronizing subscribed folders for [my Gmail address]’ reported error (0x800CCC0E): ‘Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for [my Gmail address]. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or internet serviced provider (ISP).’

    Hello

Many users seem to have this issue recently. Microsoft is still investigating this issue. The current workaround is published here: https://support.microsoft.com/office/users-get-errors-0x800ccc0e-0x800ccc0f-synchronizing-gmail-and-yahoo-accounts-in-classic-outlook-e5a7b684-7c5c-4848-ab2d-d48291451f67

THIS DID NOT WORK! I got as far as selecting “NEW”. I got the error message, “The folder list was not fully refreshed. Cannot connect to the server.” Also, the Query list showed no subscribed folders.

If I sought to set up a new account, I was blocked from setting up a new account with the same email address.

Removing and adding the existing account in my control panel brought up the warning that I thereby would lose all
