Headset denied in GH-300 Exam

Hello,

I had an issue during my GH-300 exam today and I would like to understand if I will need to pay for another attempt.

When the exam started, the proctor said that my headset with microphone was not allowed and asked if I had another audio device without a microphone. I offered to remove the microphone from my headset and use the webcam microphone instead, but the webcam microphone was very noisy and the proctor did not accept it.

Since I had no other audio device available, I decided to switch to my laptop. I had to restart everything from the beginning, including the device test, and this time the system approved my laptop setup.

However, when I tried to enter the exam on the laptop, the system rejected the exam ID. On my desktop computer the exam ID was still accepted, so I assumed the exam might have been locked to the desktop session because it was initially started there.

Because of this situation, I was unable to continue the exam.

My question is: will I need to pay for another exam attempt because of this? I was not aware that a headset with a microphone was not allowed for the exam.

Thank you for your help.

Use of headphones is clearly prohibited in exams. It is your responsibility to make sure that you comply with all of the testing requirements.
