My rewards points went missing how do I get them back?

I had over 20,000 rewards points last night then I logged out then got back on tonight and now only have 5,486 I need my points back asap Microsoft you guys seriously need to get your crap together I was saving points and now you take it away you guys need to fix this immediately

First, check for common causes:

1. Confirm the correct Microsoft account is signed in on all devices and browsers.
2. Make sure Give Mode is not turned on, since donations can change the visible balance. See the Give with Bing FAQ linked from the Rewards article.
3. Verify that activity is from the same country/region where the points were earned; earning or redeeming across regions or via VPN/VoIP can trigger issues or policy actions.
4. Review the Microsoft Rewards account policies: if the system detects policy violations (multiple accounts, VPNs, bots/automation, earning from more than one country per day, etc.), points can be invalidated or the account restricted.
