done all the process as guided by you in my email communication.

  1. Run the ePSA test to check whether the integrated webcam is visible in it; I found that it is not visible.
  2. Checked BIOS settings as well, we checked that it has a camera already enabled, and hence we could not find any solution.

Boot up your laptop, then repeatedly press the F12 key and from the resulting menu, select Diagnostics.

Run the full Dell Diagnostics test, does that indicate any problem with the hardware?

    2

If not, look at the function keys (F1 - F12) on your keyboard, if one of them has a camera icon, press that key or Fn + that key to unlock the webcam.

If that was not the problem, look at the camera lens above your screen, is there a small privacy slider that needs to be opened to access the webcam?

    3

If the webcam is still not working, go to the support page for your laptop on the Dell website, then from there, manually download and re-install the version of webcam drivers they provide.

Because the integrated webcam is not detected in ePSA (hardware diagnostics) and the camera is already enabled in BIOS, this indicates a likely hardware failure of the built‑in camera module or its connection, rather than a Windows 11 or driver issue.

Before concluding hardware failure, only the following Windows checks are relevant:

    1. Verify there is no physical camera switch/shutter
      • Check for any of these on the XPS:
        • A sliding switch on the side of the laptop.
        • A keyboard key with a camera icon (possibly used with Fn).
        • A small slider/shutter built into the camera bezel.
      • Make sure any such switch/slider is set to open/on.
    2. Confirm the camera is not appearing in Device Manager at all
      • Open Start → type Device Manager → press Enter.
      • Look under Cameras and Imaging devices.
      • If the integrated camera is missing from both, and ePSA also does not see it, this reinforces a hardware issue.
    3. If the camera does appear in Device Manager
      • Try reinstalling the driver:
        1. In Device Manager, right‑click the camera → Properties.
        2. Go to the Driver tab → Uninstall Device.
        3. Check Delete the driver software for this deviceOK.
        4. In Device Manager, select ActionScan for hardware changes.
        5. Restart Windows and test the Camera app again.
      • If the webcam is listed but not working correctly, try switching it to the in‑box UVC driver:
        1. In Device Manager, right‑click the webcam → Update driver.
        2. Select Browse my computer for drivers.
        3. Select Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
        4. Choose USB Video DeviceNextClose.

If the integrated camera is not visible in ePSA and does not appear in Device Manager even after a scan for hardware changes, the problem is almost certainly hardware (camera module, cable, or motherboard). In that case, the next step is to contact Dell support for hardware diagnosis and repair or use an external USB webcam as a workaround.
