Hi,

I am contacting you from another account, as I am currently locked out of my Microsoft 365 account and unable to log in.

We are experiencing an issue with multi-factor authentication (MFA). The only authentication method set up on the account is the Microsoft Authenticator.

However, I am currently logged out of the Authenticator app, and when I try to log in to the app, it requires a code from the same Authenticator app. This has created a circular issue, where I cannot access the app or the account.

Additionally, we do not have another global admin account in the tenant, so we are unable to reset MFA ourselves.

    Hello @Malene Kirstine Andersen,

Since you mentioned that you are currently logged out of the app and the only authentication method set up on your account is Microsoft Authenticator, you will need to reset your MFA settings.

    1. Contact Microsoft Support: Since you do not have another global admin account in your tenant, you will need to reach out to Microsoft Data Protection Support. You can do this by calling their customer service and explaining that you are the only global admin and need assistance with resetting MFA.
    2. MFA Reset Steps: If you manage to contact support, they will likely guide you through the process of resetting your MFA settings. This typically involves requiring you to re-register for MFA, which will allow you to set up the Microsoft Authenticator app again
