Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
Hello OLINTEL LLP
Azure Startup / Sponsorship subscriptions use a special “Sponsorship” offer type, and Azure Cost Management (Cost analysis, Budgets, Exports, APIs) in the Azure portal is not supported for this offer type.
Because of this:
- Month‑wise consumption cannot be reliably viewed in Cost Management + Billing
- Errors such as “Not supported”, blank charts, or failure to load data are expected behavior
- This is by design, not a configuration or permission issue.
You need to use the Azure Sponsorship Portal --> https://www.microsoftazuresponsorships.com/
This is the only supported and authoritative location for Azure Startup credit usage.Link: https://www.microsoftazuresponsorships.com/Balance
Here you can see all the usage details and Balance as well.
Azure Cost Management in the Azure portal does not replace the Sponsorship portal for Startup subscriptions. Azure Cost Management supports only:
- Enterprise Agreement (EA)
- Pay‑As‑You‑Go (Web Direct)
- Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA)
Azure Sponsorship / Startup subscriptions are explicitly excluded, which is why usage APIs, Cost Analysis, and Budgets fail or show errors.
To view month‑wise consumption of your $5,000 startup credits, please use the Azure Sponsorship Portal at https://www.microsoftazuresponsorships.com/, which is the supported source for usage and balance tracking.
Thanks,
Suchitra.
