To resolve the issue where the verification code is not being sent, follow these steps that apply to Microsoft accounts and work/school accounts:

    1. Avoid repeated requests
      • Do not click Enviar código many times in a row. Excessive or repetitive requests to the same phone or email can cause Microsoft to temporarily block sending verification codes due to suspected unusual activity.
    2. Check for temporary security blocks or unusual activity
      • If there has been unusual sign‑in activity or many incorrect attempts, Microsoft may temporarily block sending codes. In that case, wait some time and try again later. These blocks are automatically removed after a period.
    3. Verify that the email address is correct and can receive mail
      • Make sure the address shown on the screen is correct.
      • Sign in directly to that mailbox (in another tab or browser) and check:
        • Inbox
        • Junk/Spam folder for messages from @accountprotection.microsoft.com.
      • Mark @accountprotection.microsoft.com as a trusted sender so future codes arrive in the inbox.
    4. If using another Microsoft address as the alternate email
      • If the verification is being sent to another Microsoft address (for example @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, @msn.com), use a private/incognito browser session so both accounts can stay signed in:
        1. Open a browser in privacy mode (InPrivate/Incognito).
        2. Sign in with the account that is asking for the code and stay on the verification page.
        3. Open a second privacy‑mode window.
        4. In that second window, sign in to the alternate email account and read the message with the code.
        5. Go back to the first window and enter the code.
    5. Confirm or change security info
      • For a personal Microsoft account:
        1. Go to the Security basics page and sign in.
        2. Select Update info.
        3. Choose a method that works, or select I don't have any of these to replace the security info.
      • For a work or school account:
        1. Go to the Security info page.
        2. Select Update info.
        3. Choose a working method or I don't have any of these to replace the security info.
    6. If codes still do not arrive
      • Use a different verification method already configured (phone, another email, Microsoft Authenticator) if available.
      • If no method works, wait and try again later, as heavy or suspicious traffic from the region can delay or block code delivery.
      • If sign‑in is still not possible, use the sign‑in helper or account recovery form mentioned in the references to regain access.

Note: Microsoft support agents cannot send verification codes or change security details on the account; they can only guide through the recovery process.
