Hi Team,

Good day! I have an application listed/published in the Entra ID Market Place such that it is available for the customers in their tenants in the Gallery App listings in Entra ID of the customer's Azure Tenant. I wanted to edit/update a few things and republish it and I had followed the steps in the link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/enterprise-apps/v2-howto-app-gallery-listing.

As per the documentation in the link above, I tried logging into https://microsoft.sharepoint.com/teams/apponboarding/Apps (https://microsoft.sharepoint.com/teams/apponboarding/Apps/_layouts/15/Authenticate.aspx?Source=%2Fteams%2Fapponboarding%2FApps) to manage the published app configuration and it gives me the below error:

"AADSTS50020: User account 'Joyson@**.com' from identity provider 'https://sts.windows.net//' does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft' and cannot access the application '00000003-0000-0ff1-ce00-000000000000'(Office 365 SharePoint Online) in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account."*

I am unable to login to the portal where I initially used to manage my application configuration published in the gallery page. Can someone let me know how to update and republish it? Documentations really didn't help me as I'm sort of running into the same document over and over again.

I had also registered myself in the Microsoft 365 Developer Program with the link mentioned in the page https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/developer-program/microsoft-365-developer-program. And that didn't help either. Help required at the earliest and is appreciated.

Thanks,

Joy

To update or republish an existing application that is already listed in the Microsoft Entra application gallery, the management entry point is the Microsoft Application Network portal. Access and update flow is:

    1. Go to the Microsoft Application Network portal at https://microsoft.sharepoint.com/teams/apponboarding/Apps.
    2. If a Request Access page appears, fill in the business justification and select Request Access. The account must first be added as a user (or guest) in the Microsoft tenant that hosts this portal before access is granted.
    3. After the account is added and can sign in, select the Submit Request (ISV) tile on the home page.
    4. To change an existing gallery app, choose Update my application’s listing in the gallery, then select the appropriate option:
      • Update my application’s Federated SSO feature
      • Update my application’s Password SSO feature
      • Upgrade my application from Password SSO to Federated SSO
      • Update my MDM app
      • Improve my application’s User Provisioning feature
      • Remove my application listing from the gallery (if removal is required)

The error message shown indicates that the current account does not exist in the Microsoft tenant that hosts the Application Network portal. To proceed, use the Request Access flow described above so the account is added as an external user in that tenant. If sign-in is blocked after that, use the troubleshooting guidance in the “Troubleshoot sign-in to the Microsoft Application Network portal” article referenced from the same documentation.

Note that new SSO or provisioning requests are currently not being accepted while the Secure Future Initiative work is in progress; SSO update requests are processed case by case, and SCIM-based provisioning updates are not being processed. This may affect how quickly certain types of changes can be applied to an existing gallery app.
