We have a recurring charge of $99.99 on our AMEX Gold Card. The charge reoccurs each year in June. The last occurrence was on 06/05/2025. I don't know what it covers or includes. For example we have two different laptops in our family, one for my wife and one for me. Does this subscription cover for both laptops?? And what software does it cover? Your customer service is sooo bad! I can't believe that I have to type out my issue! Why can't you guys just answer the phone?? What a total waste of my time!

The $99.99 recurring June charge is most likely a Microsoft subscription (for example, a Microsoft 365 or similar service) with recurring billing enabled on the AMEX card. The exact products, features, and how many devices are covered depend on the specific subscription type on the Microsoft account that owns this charge.

To see exactly what this charge is for and what it covers:

    1. Go to the Microsoft account Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services
    2. Sign in with the Microsoft account that uses this AMEX card.
    3. Review the list of subscriptions and look for one that:
      • Is billed annually
      • Has a price of $99.99 (or close, depending on tax)
      • Shows a renewal/charge date in early June
    4. Open that subscription entry to see:
      • The product name (for example, a specific Microsoft 365 plan)
      • Whether it has recurring billing turned on
      • What devices/users it is licensed for

If the charge does not appear under that Microsoft account:

    1. Go to the Manage your payments page and use the built‑in investigation tool:
    2. Possible reasons you see the charge even if you don’t recognize it include:
      • A Microsoft subscription with recurring billing enabled
      • A family member using the same card on a different Microsoft account
      • A previously declined charge that was later successfully processed

To understand if it covers both laptops:

    • Once the subscription is identified on the Services & subscriptions page, check its description. Consumer Microsoft 365 subscriptions typically specify how many devices or users are included. If the plan allows multiple devices/users, both laptops can usually be covered as long as they are signed in with the appropriate Microsoft accounts under that subscription.

If the charge is unrecognized or unwanted after review:

    • Use the Investigate option on the Manage your payments page to confirm what it is and follow the guidance there.
    • If needed, follow the refund/cancellation guidance linked from the investigation page or contact Microsoft Support via the support links provided there.
