Are you signed in to the Skype Dial Pad site on your mobile with exactly the same account as you have used with Skype and Teams on your PC?

    https://calling.web.skype.com/

If so, then you should see this dial pad screen:

You can check the available balance using the "Balance" button from this screen.

    Hi grimmcat grimmcat,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand you have Skype Credit and are trying to make calls, but you are being redirected to Microsoft Teams Free, which can be confusing.

I can see there is already a Q&A Assist reply in this thread explaining how Skype Credit calling works during the transition to Microsoft Teams Free, and that explanation is correct. If you have had a chance to try the steps provided there, please let me know the result. Since this transition has caused confusion for many users, I would like to clarify the key points from that answer to help set the right expectations.

Skype is retired as of May 5, 2025, and existing paid users can continue calling landlines and mobile numbers using the Skype Dial Pad either on the web or inside Microsoft Teams Free (when signed in with the same Skype account that owns the credit). Reference: Moving from Skype to Microsoft Teams Free

Key points to be aware of:

    • The Skype Dial Pad is available only if the account has active Skype Credit, an active calling subscription, or an active Skype number.
    • If the Skype Dial Pad does not appear in Teams Free, it usually means the credit is inactive or the user is signed in with a different account. In that case, the credit can be reactivated from the Skype My Account page, then Teams Free should be restarted.
    • You can also use the web‑based Skype Dial Pad directly by signing in at calling.web.skype.com with the same Skype account that holds the credit.

Please note that this is a public community forum, and contributors here do not have access to account‑level billing or credit details, but guidance can be provided on how the calling setup works and where to verify your credit status.

I hope this helps clarify how Skype calling works now and where to place calls using your existing Skype Credit. Please let me know whether the Skype Dial Pad appears after signing in with the correct account.

To use existing Skype Credit to call phone numbers now that Skype is retiring, use the Skype Dial Pad. Because Skype is being redirected to Teams, calls are made either from the Skype Dial Pad on the web or from Microsoft Teams Free, but only when signed in with the Skype account that owns the credit.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Confirm the correct Skype account and active credit
      • Go to Skype’s My Account page: https://secure.skype.com/portal/overview
      • Check that the signed-in account matches the Skype Name mentioned in any email about your credit.
      • Verify that Skype Credit is active. If it shows as inactive (for example, not used in 180 days), reactivate it using the reactivation option on the My Account page.
    2. Make calls using the Skype Dial Pad on the web
      • Go to https://calling.web.skype.com/
      • Sign in with the Skype account that has the active credit or subscription.
      • If there is an active subscription or Skype Credit, the Dial Pad opens automatically.
      • Enter or select the phone number and select Call.
      • If a message appears saying “You don’t have any paid product right now,” either:
        • The wrong account is signed in, or
        • The credit has been deactivated and must be reactivated from the My Account page.
    3. Use Skype Dial Pad inside Microsoft Teams Free (if redirected to Teams)
      • Install or update Microsoft Teams Free to the latest version.
      • Sign in to Teams Free using the same Skype sign-in that has the credit.
      • On desktop:
        1. Select Settings and more (top-right).
        2. Select Skype Dial Pad.
        3. If there is active Skype Credit or a subscription, the Skype Dial Pad will be visible.
        4. Enter the phone number and select Call.
      • On mobile (Teams Free app):
        1. Open the Teams Free mobile app.
        2. Tap the profile picture.
        3. Tap Skype Dial Pad.
        4. Enter or tap a phone number and tap Call.
      • If the Skype Dial Pad option does not appear in Teams Free, there is no active subscription/credit on that account. Reactivate credit from the My Account page, then restart Teams Free and check again.
    4. If credit appears missing
      • If https://calling.web.skype.com/ still says there is no paid product after confirming the correct account, the credit may have been deactivated due to inactivity. Use the reactivation option from the Skype account settings page and then try again on the Dial Pad site.

Note: Teams Free itself does not provide general PSTN calling; it only exposes the Skype Dial Pad for accounts that already have active Skype Credit, a Skype Number, or a calling subscription.
