Cannot sign into my account on a new pc, phone verification simply is not working, no way to contact support

My password has not changed, though my account says I tried to log in too many times. I am trying to set up a new laptop. All forms of Phone Verification and Customer support are offline. I am beyond frustrated and need help to resolve this.

    Hi, I'm John!

A new PC can trigger extra security checks, so this is expected, but the verification should still work. Microsoft temporarily blocks further attempts to protect the account.

The only option for now is to wait for the full 24 to 48 hours for the lockout to clear completely.

Try not to attempt signing in during this time, as doing so will reset the waiting period back to zero. Once the time has fully passed, you should be able to sign in again without needing to reset your password.

Let me know how it goes after waiting for full 24 or 48 hours. I'm here to help you further.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
