Hello!

I am a Office Coordinator for a company. The owner received an email stating that our subscription renewed. We don't use microsoft and he has many accounts so he cannot recall the log in info. We want to cancel this subscription before it charges again. I have the email that the confirmation was sent to, the name that it is under and the Primary Tenant ID. We really need assistance with this matter.

    Hi @Maria Rodriguez

Thank you for reaching out. Based on your information, I understand you are trying to cancel a Microsoft 365 subscription for your company, but because the login information is missing, you are currently unable to access the account to stop the recurring charges.

To help resolve this, you will need to regain access to the Global Administrator account for your tenant. Once you have access, you can then submit a request to the billing team to handle the cancellation. I recommend following these two phases:

Phase 1: Reaching out to the Data Protection Team via phone to regain access

Firstly, you will need to contact Microsoft Business Support via phone (you can reach them through Microsoft’s Global Customer Service numbers here: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support). When you are connected, ask to be directed to the Data Protection Team. You’ll need to verify your ownership of the Microsoft 365 tenant with Microsoft’s Data Protection Team. This verification process typically requires providing the following documentation.

    • Proof of domain ownership, such as access to manage DNS records
    • Billing or subscription information, including payment methods or account history
    • The Tenant ID of the affected Microsoft 365 organization
    • Official business registration documents
    • Documentation confirming you are an authorized signatory for the business

The Data Protection Team will use that information to verify your identity and help you recover access to the admin account.

Phase 2: Reaching out to Billing Team by opening a ticket in Admin Center to cancel the subscription

Once you have successfully logged back into the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, you should create a support ticket specifically for the Billing Team. You can then request that they cancel the subscription and discuss any concerns regarding the recent charges. For detailed instructions on how to get support, please refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin

Please keep in mind that as a moderator in this forum, I can only provide general information and guide you to the appropriate official support channels. I do not have access to your account data or the ability to manage your billing directly.

I hope this helps you get the subscription sorted out quickly.

Should you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.
