Direct remote connection is not available, but several supported steps can be followed to get Microsoft 365 installed on Windows 11.
- Confirm disk space and clean up if needed
- Ensure there is enough free space on the system drive (typically C:). If space is still low, run Disk Cleanup:
- Select Start → in Search programs and files, type
cleanmgr→ press Enter. - Let Disk Cleanup scan, then select temporary files, Recycle Bin, and other unneeded items to delete.
- After cleanup completes, try the installation again.
- Select Start → in Search programs and files, type
- Re-run the Microsoft 365 installation
- Open a browser and sign in with the account associated with the Microsoft 365 subscription.
- From the account page, select Install to download and run the installer again.
- If the installation was interrupted earlier (for example, by Internet loss), simply re-running the setup after connectivity and space issues are resolved is the recommended approach.
- If installation still fails with an error code
- Restart the PC completely, then try the install again. Restarting is a documented first step for many Office install errors.
- After restart, sign in again with the Microsoft 365 account and select Install.
