    Hi Sonny,

Please attach a screenshot of the error.

To attach a screenshot, see below:

    • Press Windows key + Shift + S together on the keyboard. The screen will dim with overlay. Drag the pointer to take a screenshot.
    • The screenshot will be copied to the clipboard. Please press Ctrl+V in the editor to paste it, then confirm to attach the image.

Alternatively, you can press the PrtScn key on the keyboard, if it exists, to directly copy the Entire screen, which you can paste using CTRL+V.

I’m eager to hear back and work together to find a solution.

The message about a “work license” indicates that Outlook on the HP laptop is trying to use a work/school (business) account instead of the personal Microsoft 365 Family subscription account.

    Key points from the context:

    • Microsoft 365 for business uses a work or school account (for example, ******@contoso.com) that is licensed by an organization.
    • A personal subscription such as Microsoft 365 Family is tied to a Microsoft account (for example, ******@outlook.com) and not to a work/school account.
    • If Outlook is signed in with an account that does not have the correct license, Microsoft 365 apps can show license or activation errors.

To get Outlook working on the HP laptop with the Microsoft 365 Family subscription:

    1. Make sure the correct account is used in Office/Outlook
      • Open any Microsoft 365 app (Word, Excel, or Outlook) on the HP laptop.
      • Go to the Account or File > Account page.
      • Under User Information, sign out of any work or school account that is listed.
      • Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns the Microsoft 365 Family subscription (the same one used when purchasing the subscription for home use).
      • This ensures the apps see the correct license.
    2. Understand the difference between accounts
      • The email address ******@terranovatechs.com is a work/business-style address.
      • The Microsoft 365 Family subscription is a home subscription and is associated with a personal Microsoft account, not a business tenant.
      • Outlook can still send/receive mail for ******@terranovatechs.com, but the license that activates Office on the device must come from the personal Microsoft 365 Family subscription account.
    3. If Outlook still reports license issues
      • Confirm that the Microsoft account being used actually has a qualifying home subscription (Microsoft 365 Personal or Family) as required for installing desktop apps.
      • If Outlook is still trying to use a work/school account, remove that account from Account in the app and re-add only after the product is activated with the personal Microsoft account.

If the terranovatechs.com address is also tied to a separate Microsoft 365 business tenant, that business tenant would need its own business license to activate Office under that work account. In this scenario, keep using the personal Microsoft 365 Family account for activation and add the terranovatechs.com mailbox in Outlook purely as an email account.
