I have to enter my BitLocker recovery key to my laptop. However, my Microsoft account is currently trapped in the 30 day transfer period while I transfer the security information from my mum’s phone number to my own. So I cannot access any of my account information and therefore my recovery key.

This is a bad situation, when you change information on the Microsoft account, there is a 30 day wait period, that cannot be bypassed, it is a security protocol to stop hackers changing the information on your account and stealing your account.

I am sorry for the bad news, if you do not have the Bitlocker Recovery Key noted down somewhere, and you are unable to access your account online to get the Bitlocker Recovery Key, there is no working method to bypass the drive encryption, the encryption is too strong.

Do you have a safe backup of your files anywhere, or use OneDrive or some other cloud service to sync your files online..
