    Hello George Flinn

I’m really sorry for the inconvenience you’re experiencing. I understand how disruptive this must be, especially when it’s impacting your day‑to‑day workflow. May I please confirm whether you’re seeing the error message shown below?

If that’s the case, I’d like to let you know that this is a known issue currently affecting the synchronization of Gmail accounts in classic Outlook. The Outlook team is actively investigating the problem. While we’re waiting for a fix, I recommend trying the workaround outlined in the following article: Users get errors 0x800CCC0E & 0x800CCC0F synchronizing Gmail and Yahoo accounts in classic Outlook

If the issue persists, you’ll need to remove all previous access and start again from scratch, following the manual workaround outlined in the article: Unable to add a Gmail account to classic Outlook - Microsoft Support

If you encounter any issues or feel unsure at any step, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’ll be more than happy to walk you through the process.

Thank you for your patience, and please let me know how it goes. I truly appreciate your time and look forward to your update.

For a Gmail account to work in Outlook, Gmail must allow IMAP access and the correct server settings must be used.

    1. Enable IMAP in Gmail
      1. In a browser, sign in to Gmail.
      2. Select Settings (gear icon) > See all settings.
      3. Go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
      4. Under IMAP access, select Enable IMAP.
      5. Select Save Changes.
    2. Verify IMAP/SMTP settings in Outlook (if prompted to enter them manually) Use these values for the Gmail account:
      • Incoming mail (IMAP) server: imap.gmail.com
        • Requires SSL: Yes
        • Port: 993
      • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: smtp.gmail.com
        • Requires SSL: Yes
        • Requires TLS: Yes (if available)
        • Requires authentication: Yes
        • Port for SSL: 465
        • Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587
      • Account name/username: Full Gmail address
      • Password: Gmail password (or app password if using that method)

After enabling IMAP and confirming these settings, restart Outlook and let it resync the Gmail mailbox.
