A 1-year Microsoft 365 Personal should not expire after 1 month.
To help narrow down the issue:
- Where exactly did you activate it? (preinstalled on the PC or via a product key?)
- Did you redeem it at https://account.microsoft.com/services?
- What subscription do you see listed there, and what is the exact expiry date shown?
- Do you have more than one Microsoft account signed in on that device?
Sometimes this happens if:
- A trial subscription (1 month) was activated instead of the full 1-year
- The 1-year license was never properly redeemed
- It was redeemed on a different Microsoft account
Also, the $99.99 email, can you confirm if it’s from Microsoft and not a scam? Check the sender carefully.
