I am the global admin for my tenant and I am locked out due to stolen MFA. I need an MFA reset and can verify domain ownership.

No, there's no MS authenticator backup. No, there's no option to text a code after clicking I don't have access to Authenticator app right no. No, calling the support number doesn't get a person and after several calls the AI agent hangs up. No, there are no other global admins. No, there are no other devices that are still signed in that could be used to answer the account.

What does it take to get Microsoft to manually reset MFA?

    Hello Doug Kuhns

The issue pertains to a tenant lockout, where no other global admin in the tenant has the necessary permissions to login and make changes in your tenant.

To resolve this, we have engaged our Data Protection team through a support ticket. They will reach out to you via email or phone to help restore access to the tenant and assist in resolving the issue.
