Trouble downloading incoming emails

I did an update for Outlook in February and since then I have not been able to receive any incoming emails on my desktop. When I try to download them, the system starts processing but only goes about 2/3 of the way through and stops. However, they do come through on my iPad.

    Hello,

    Are you using POP, IMAP, or Exchange for your account?

    Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings, select your account, then click Repair and complete the steps. After that, go to Send/Receive > Send/Receive Groups > Define Send/Receive Groups and make sure your account is checked and scheduled to sync. Restart Outlook and try again.
