    Hi, I'm John!

You’re not alone, many users started seeing this issue recently with Gmail accounts in Outlook.

Microsoft is already aware and investigating it. They also shared a workaround here: https://support.microsoft.com/office/users-get-errors-0x800ccc0e-0x800ccc0f-synchronizing-gmail-and-yahoo-accounts-in-classic-outlook-e5a7b684-7c5c-4848-ab2d-d48291451f67

You can also try the "Manual Workaround" provided in this Microsoft article:

Please follow the steps under "Manual Workaround" and then restart Outlook after completing them.

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    John J.D.

Try the following checks and fixes in order:

    1. Check filters and views
      • In Outlook, select the Inbox.
      • At the top of the message list, select Filter (or use the View settings) and make sure it is set to show All messages, not only a date range or specific category. A restrictive filter or a custom view can hide recent mail.
      • Also check the Favorites view (if using it) and ensure it is not filtered to an older date range; a misconfigured Favorites Inbox can make it look like new mail stopped arriving.
    2. Check rules that might move Gmail messages
      • In Outlook, open Rules (Home tab → Rules → Manage Rules & Alerts).
      • Look for any rule that moves or redirects incoming messages to another folder (including RSS feeds or Archive) and disable or delete anything suspicious.
      • Apply the changes and send a test email from Gmail to see if it appears.
    3. Check for sync issues and force a sync
      • Make sure the computer is connected to the Internet.
      • In Outlook, go to the View tab and use the Sync (or Send/Receive All Folders) option to force synchronization.
      • Watch the status bar at the bottom of Outlook for any sync error messages.
    4. Verify Gmail folder/IMAP settings
      • In a browser, sign in to Gmail.
      • Go to SettingsLabels.
      • Ensure Show in IMAP is enabled for Inbox, Sent Mail, Trash, and All Mail, and for any other labels that should appear in Outlook. Outlook needs these folders exposed via IMAP to sync correctly.
      • After changing Gmail settings, return to Outlook and let it sync for up to 15 minutes.
    5. Clear and resync the Inbox cache (Cached Exchange/IMAP mode)
      • In Outlook, right‑click the Inbox folder → Properties.
      • On the General tab, select Clear Offline Items.
      • Confirm that data will be removed from the local Outlook data file.
      • With Inbox still selected, press Shift+F9 to force resynchronization of the Inbox from the server.
    6. If items appear in webmail but not in Outlook only for this profile
      • Exit Outlook.
      • Run Outlook.exe /cleanips from Start → Run to clear the incoming item processing pipeline, then restart Outlook and test again.

If new mail appears correctly in Gmail web but still does not show in any Outlook folder after these steps, re-adding the Gmail account in Outlook (remove the account, then add it again) is the next step, taking care to back up any local‑only data first.
