Obtain Minecraft Education

Question

Thanks to my institution we have a A1 account, I would like to use minecraft education more instensively, butit's not the plan of my school. How can I, personnaly get Minecraft education I will pay myself?

I would like to provide you with the following information:

Since you are using an account provided by your school, this account is managed and configured through the school’s Admin Center.

You can refer to the administrator interface screenshot below:

This means that if you would like to use Minecraft Education with the school-provided account, you need to contact your school’s IT department for assistance in purchasing and assigning a license to your account, at an approximate cost of USD 5.04 per user per year. You can refer to the screenshot below:

Alternatively, you can create a separate Business account for yourself. When you create this account, you will be the administrator (admin) of that tenant.

In this case, you can purchase a Minecraft Education license independently at an approximate cost of USD 36 per user per year.

Note: The difference in pricing is due to the fact that educational institutions meet academic eligibility requirements and receive Microsoft support, which results in lower pricing compared to a personal Business tenant.

To create a Business account and subscribe to Minecraft Education, you can visit the link below and complete the registration process:

After successfully creating the Business account, please access the Admin Center and assign the license to your account by following these steps:

Step 1: Go to admin.microsoft.com

Step 2: Click Users > Active users > select your account

Step 3: Click Licenses and apps > assign the Minecraft Education license to your account
