Try unplugging from the internet and launching again. Once it starts compiling shaders you can plug back in. Worked for me and it had my console save data connected too. With Xbox Play Anywhere
Crimson Dessert just a Problem for me?
Ordered Crimson dessert. Today it should be Relese 19.03.26 at 11 PM (Sitzerland). I got preload problems before, alright. Fixed in todays Morning.
So at 11 PM i tried to start the game. Window opens: gamedata sync. Game execution. And then... nothing. Again... and again.. and again.
If i go to the shop site i can buy it. But i already buyed it. I can also start it from there. But also nothing happens.
When i deinstalled it, i could play it through the cloud, this works. But when it is installed.. still unable to start. And on both version (ordered the Deluxe version) i only can buy it in the store, no installation butten. In the library, is only the base version.
So I have really ask myself am i the Problem or is it Microsoft which just don't able to launch a Game correctly to its release?

2026-03-20T07:47:11.16+00:00 I am experiencing the same problem. I thought a restart would help and in theory, it did BUT the main fix for now is to not be connected to the internet like I was when I restarted my computer and immediately launched the game. If I connect to the Internet and try to launch the game, then it will not launch. I have to restart with no network connection and immediately launch the game. Be sure you launch the game all the way to the main menu before connecting to the internet on your computer otherwise the sign-in window will pop-up and the game will immediately crash after you sign in. I think the game might be having problems with the Xbox sync service.

Q&A Assist2026-03-20T00:35:57.7466667+00:00 AI generated content. This question contains an answer created with AI from Q&A Assist. Learn moreThe behavior is consistent with a Microsoft Store licensing/installation issue on the PC rather than a problem with the cloud version or specifically with Crimson Desert.
Based on the available guidance, the following checks and steps are relevant:
- Confirm ownership and order status
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/orders and verify that the Crimson Desert purchase (and Deluxe entitlement) shows as completed, not cancelled or pending. If the order did not complete correctly, the Store may still show only a Buy button instead of Install.
- If the order is completed and the game still does not appear correctly, the guidance is to contact Microsoft Store support for entitlement issues.
- Check why the Store only shows “Buy” and no install button When a game or app is missing an Install button or does not appear correctly in the library, the common Store-side reasons are:
- The app/game is not shown as owned on that account or device.
- The app/game is not compatible with the device.
- The PC is not authorized for Microsoft Store apps.
From the documentation:
- Some apps or games work only on specific types of devices; incompatible items may show errors or hide the purchase/install button.
- Microsoft Store hides or blocks the purchase button on incompatible devices and may show different availability per device.
- The PC must be signed in with the same Microsoft account that owns the game and must be added/authorized as a device for Microsoft Store.
Actions:
- Make sure the same Microsoft account used to buy Crimson Desert is signed into both Windows and Microsoft Store.
- Check that the PC is added to the Microsoft account as a device (see “Add a device to your Microsoft account” / “Manage your devices for Microsoft Store” in the referenced docs).
- Verify that Windows is fully updated and the PC has been restarted after any recent updates.
- Reset and repair Microsoft Store If ownership is correct but the game will not launch locally and the Store buttons are wrong or missing, reset the Store cache and app:
- Reset Store cache:
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type wsreset.exe and select OK.
- A blank command window opens, then closes; Microsoft Store reopens automatically.
- Search for Crimson Desert again and check whether Install or Play appears instead of Buy.
- If apps still cannot be found/installed correctly, the Store troubleshooting guidance highlights:
- Region mismatch (game not available in that country/region).
- Family settings hiding apps.
- Game removed or not available on that device type.
- PC not restarted after updates.
- PC not authorized for Store apps.
- When the game appears in library but will not launch The Store guidance for “Your game or app doesn’t appear in My games & apps” and related issues recommends:
- Go to the game’s page in Microsoft Store; if the usual Buy button is replaced by Install, select Install to reinstall.
- If the order shows as completed in Order history but the game still does not appear or launch correctly, contact Microsoft Store support for account/entitlement correction.
- When only cloud play works Cloud play working while local install fails indicates:
- The Game Pass/cloud entitlement is recognized, but the local license or Store install state on the PC is inconsistent.
- This is not a user-side gameplay issue but a Store/entitlement or compatibility problem.
Given the symptoms (looping “gamedata sync / game execution and then nothing”, missing install button, only base version in library, cloud works), the next concrete steps are:
- Verify the purchase in Order history and that it is completed.
- Confirm the correct Microsoft account and that the PC is added/authorized as a device.
- Run wsreset.exe and restart the PC.
- Re-open Microsoft Store, check the Crimson Desert page for Install/Play vs Buy.
- If the order is correct and the Store still only shows Buy or the game will not launch after reinstall, escalate to Microsoft Store support as per the “Your game or app doesn’t appear in My games & apps” guidance.
