How to redeem gift card off of points

Question

I’ve been trying to redeem a gift card off the point system, but I can’t because it wants me to add a phone number, but there’s no option for me to add the phone number. What do I do?

Hi,

If you cannot find an option to add a phone number from your Microsoft Rewards page, try adding it directly to your Microsoft account:

Go to the Microsoft account website: https://account.microsoft.com

Sign in with your account.

Click Your info at the top.

Select Edit account info or Manage how you sign in to Microsoft.

Under Account aliases or Security info, choose Add phone number.

Enter your phone number and select how you want to verify it (SMS or call).

Enter the verification code sent to your phone.

Save the changes.

After adding it, sign out of your Microsoft Rewards account to sync the changes, then try using a different internet connection. Next, open an InPrivate window (Ctrl + Shift + N) in your browser, sign in again to your Microsoft Rewards account, and try redeeming from there.
