Hi, I got mail from this address and there is a link to a lottery, which takes you to https://rewards.bing.com/sweepstakes/million/about?form=MD1BHV&OCID=MD1BHV&PUBL=BGRWEM&CREA=MD1BHV&pn=2MSweeps&oem=MSFT

Is this legit or not? Thanks for answering.

BR, Eija

Yes, you have nothing to worry about, that Email is genuine and the URL the link redirects to is a genuine Microsoft Rewards link for that draw.

The legitimacy of the specific message cannot be confirmed here, but the following guidance applies:

    1. Treat any “lottery” or “you’ve won” style message with extreme caution. These are very common phishing and scam patterns.
    2. Do not click links or open attachments directly from the email. Instead, if interested in Microsoft Rewards sweepstakes, open a new browser window and go to the official site by typing it in or using your own saved favorite, then navigate to the sweepstakes section from there.
    3. Never call phone numbers or use contact details provided in a suspicious email.
    4. If the message looks fake or unexpected, report it as junk/spam in the email client or delete it.
    5. If still unsure, ask a trusted friend/family member, and/or contact Microsoft support starting from an official Microsoft site (not from links in the email).

For any “order,” “reward,” or “account problem” email, always verify by signing into the relevant account via a separately opened browser tab and checking orders, rewards, or notifications there.
