You update your Legal name on your Microsoft Learn profile under Settings https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/settings

If you have an exam booked, you will be shown a message and link to contact Credentials support https://learn.microsoft.com/credentials/support/help#how-to-submit-a-support-request

The name on a GitHub Copilot certification exam cannot be changed directly here. Updating the legal name for GitHub-related certifications must be done through the Microsoft Learn/Credentials support process.

    To update the legal name:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft Learn profile that is associated with the GitHub Copilot certification.
    2. Go to the profile Settings page and follow the instructions for updating the Legal Name.
    3. If the site shows a message asking to contact Certification Support or if the name cannot be updated successfully, submit a ticket to the Credentials Support team using the Certification Support channel so they can correct the legal name for the exam.

If the proctor or exam provider has already blocked or questioned the exam because of a name mismatch, include that detail in the ticket so support can review and fix the record.
