I can't use SolidWorks 3DExperience after Microsoft Corporation Driver Update (10.0.26100.6700)

After Microsoft Corporation Driver Update (10.0.26100.6700), when I try opening SolidWorks 3D Experience, it will get to the interface screen where you can select a recent file, or proceed with other options, but then within a second or two, crash.

I have tried:
SFC
a complete uninstall and reinstall of the SolidWorks program (multiple times)
Running SolidWorks in safe mode and also with Open GL.
Running SolidWorks Rx

ChatGPT seemed to think the issue was with Microsoft Edge WebView2 and took me down a very long and unproductive road in that regard. It was not available in the list of applications to uninstall/repair, so it had me run the Evergreen Standalone Installer (x64) for WebView2 Runtime.
This physically installed it, but it remained unseen in the list of applications.
Tried running msedgewebview2.exe with GPU disabled... etc, etc, etc.

Ran SolidWorks with no add-ins
Tried repairing Solidworks
Shutdown my internet security software and tried to run SolidWorks various ways in that environment.
Tried running SolidWorks with Hardware Acceleration turned off,
Tried installing VC++ runtimes (x64 and x86)

Killed ALL HP overlay/injection processes
Tried shutting down all startup services...

Other than the crash report text below, I have attached two pictures of the Event Viewer errors that occurred in the same time period. 6bd91a7a-282a-4d95-adc7-857cc2afa4ab

    • Dassault Systèmes released an emergency HotFix (Article QA00000445516) specifically for this March 2026 crash. Since you've already tried a clean reinstall, the platform might not have auto-applied this yet.
Run hotfix as admin via CMD
    • Roll Back the Driver Update:
Device Manager: Look under "System Devices" or "Software Components." If you see "Microsoft Corporation - Other Hardware" or "Service Driver," right-click > Properties > Driver Tab > Roll Back Driver

    Prevent Re-installation:
    User's image

    User's image

    "C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\SOLIDWORKS 3DEXPERIENCE R2026x\win_b64\resources\MSI\SolidWorksR428FD01PP2"

    • Close SolidWorks and all background processes >
Download (Microsoft Edge WebView2) CAB / Version 145 .^> Extract it to (C:\WebView2)
      Open System Environment Variables
      User's image

    New User Variable
    Variable name: WEBVIEW2_BROWSER_EXECUTABLE_FOLDER
    Variable value: C:\WebView2
(This forces SolidWorks to use a known stable version of the web engine instead of the one broken by the 10.0.26100.6700)

Hello. Does SolidWorks still crash if you disable the Intel GPU and force NVIDIA only?

    Try this:

    1. Open Device Manager
    2. Expand Display adapters
    3. Right-click the Intel GPU → Disable device
    4. Leave NVIDIA enabled
