Yep - people do get emails like this, but there are two very different possibilities: it’s either a legitimate automated enforcement notice from Microsoft, or it’s a phishing attempt trying to get you to click something.
From what’s visible in your screenshot, the message looks fairly consistent with a real Microsoft Digital Safety notice. Those are typically sent when content tied to your Microsoft account (like store reviews, Xbox activity, or comments on Microsoft platforms) gets flagged. “Off Topic Comments” is a real category they use, especially for reviews that don’t relate to the product. It’s also normal that they remove the content without showing you exactly what you wrote, which can make it confusing if you don’t remember it.
That said, you should not trust the email at face value yet. The most important thing is the sender address and the links. If the sender domain is exactly something like microsoft.com (not a variation like micros0ft or a random domain), that’s a good sign. Do not click the “Submit an appeal” button directly. Instead, go to Microsoft’s official site manually by typing it into your browser and check your account notifications there. If the violation is real, it should also appear in your account or enforcement history.
