outlook is in another language

when I open outlook on my laptop, it's in another language, so I can't troubleshoot within Outlook.

Change the display language through Outlook’s language settings. The exact steps depend on whether Outlook is the new or classic version, or the web version.

1. New Outlook for Windows
   1. Select the gear icon (Settings) at the top.
   2. Select General > Language and time.
   3. In Language (Country/Region), choose the desired language (for example, English).
   4. Select Save and restart Outlook if needed.
2. Classic Outlook for Windows (full desktop app)
   1. Select the File tab.
   2. Select Options > Language.
   3. Under Set the Office Language Preferences:
      • In Office display language, select Add a Language, add the desired language, then set it as default.
      • In Office authoring languages and proofing, select Add a Language and add the desired language if needed.
   4. Under Translation, choose how to handle messages in other languages and set the Translate messages into language if required.
   5. Restart Outlook.
3. Outlook on the web / Microsoft365.com / Outlook.com
   1. Select the gear icon (Settings) at the top.
   2. Select General > Language and time.
   3. In Language (Country/Region), choose the desired language.
   4. Select Save and reload the page.

If Outlook was installed via a standalone classic Outlook download and only shows English, reinstall classic Outlook using the corrected installer that lets choosing the language, as described in the classic Outlook language issue article.
