My Lenovo Thinkpad E16 with Windows 11 is periodically crashing and flashing up an error screen saying that I'm having a Hypervisor Error 0x20001. Is there a common fix for this issue? It has an AMD Ryzen 5 7535U processor and AMD Radeon Graphics if that information is relevant.

    Hello Aiden Voth,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

This error is quite a generic error message and doesn't really point out any of the issue. So it is hard to tell a definitive fix for this. If possible, can you please go to C:\Windows\Minidumps to collect the Minidump files for those crashes and provide it to me so I can help you check it more throughly.

In the meantime, please try these quick fix:

    • Type "Command Prompt" in the search bar and choose "Run as administrator"
    • Type DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth and press Enter.
    • When the scan is done. Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
    • Restart your computer when all the scan is done.
