An application or feature powered by Windows Copilot to assist users with tasks and productivity
Welcome Damian Farmer,
I understand how frustrating it can be when you can open Copilot on your PC, but you’re unable to sign in even after clearing cache and related data.
To better understand the scenario, could you please confirm:
- Are you signing in with a personal Microsoft account or a work or school account
- Are you currently running the latest Windows updates, and did this issue start after a recent update or restart?
In the meantime, you can try the workaround steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Step 1: Restart the PC while it is connected to a stable internet connection and then try signing in to Copilot again
Step 2: Make sure you are signed in to Windows with the same Microsoft account you are trying to use in Copilot
Step 3: Open Microsoft Edge and verify you can sign in successfully at account.microsoft.com using the same account
Step 4: Check Settings > Network & Internet and temporarily disable any VPN, proxy, or third‑party firewall, then retry signing in
Step 5: Open the Microsoft Store, check for Copilot or related app updates, and install any pending updates
I really hope that the information I gave above was helpful to you. Please feel free to reply below and let me know if you have further concern on this matter.
