We are trying to run an offline container copy between two Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL accounts:

    This error is a known issue and usually indicates a backend problem, not a configuration mistake. Microsoft’s guidance is to open a support ticket under Data Migration → Intra-account container copy, especially if the error says “Error while getting resources for job.”

    Before that, quickly verify basics: the target container exists and matches the name, local authorization is enabled, and proper permissions are set. If everything is correct and it still fails immediately, it’s likely a platform issue, and you should include the OperationId and ActivityId when contacting support.
