Exported video quality and behavior can differ from how animations look in Slide Show, especially with complex motion paths, transitions, or when exporting on certain devices.

    Try these steps:

    1. Increase slide/animation timing
      • If Smooth Start/Smooth End or other easing effects are used, ensure the total animation duration is long enough so PowerPoint does not compress them when rendering.
      • In the Animations tab, open Timing and increase Duration for the affected animations, then re-export the video.
    2. Adjust export quality and format
      • Use File > Export and choose MP4 (or MOV on Mac) with Presentation Quality to reduce frame skipping.
      • Avoid Low Quality exports, which can introduce visible stutter.
    3. Check platform-specific limitations
      • On Mac, ensure the build is updated (for Microsoft 365 for Mac, use version 16.67 or later) because older builds had issues exporting to video that could cause performance problems.
    4. Simplify or change effects that don’t translate well to video
      • Some transitions and animation effects do not play the same, or at all, once exported as a movie. If a specific effect looks smooth in Slide Show but jerky in the MP4, try replacing it with a simpler transition or animation and test-export a short sample.
    5. Verify slide timings
      • If slide timings are very short, the video encoder may not have enough frames to render smooth motion. Increase the time per slide or use recorded timings before exporting.

If the issue persists, create a small test presentation with just the problematic animation and experiment with different durations, transitions, and export settings to identify which combination produces the smoothest result.
