my game wont let me play minecraft

To fix this, ensure the Minecraft game version matches the server version:

1. If the message appears when joining a specific server:
   • The server may be running a different Minecraft version.
   • Update Minecraft to the latest version from the Microsoft Store / Xbox app.
   • If the server is older, it must be updated by its owner to match the current client version.
2. If using a personal Bedrock Dedicated Server:
   • “Outdated Client” means the game on the PC is older than the server version; update the game.
   • “Outdated Server” means the server is older than the game; download and install the latest Bedrock Dedicated Server build so its protocol matches the client.

Minecraft protocol versions often change even between minor or patch versions (for example, 1.21.0 vs 1.20.0 or 1.21.0 vs 1.21.30), so both sides must be kept in sync.
