    Hello Karishma P Uchil,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

We understand locked out and just want to stop the charges—let’s see how we can get you unblocked.

    Here’s what you can try:

    1. Recover your Microsoft account
      • If your Azure account was tied to your Gmail MSA, go to https://account.live.com/password/reset and follow the account recovery steps.
      • Use any alternate email or phone number you may have added when you signed up.
      • Once you reset your password, you can sign into the Azure portal and cancel.
    2. If recovery fails, open a billing support request
      • Head to https://portal.azure.com and click Help + support → New support request.
      • Under Issue type pick Billing, then Cancel subscription.
      • You’ll be asked for your subscription ID (you can find that on your invoices—look for the 12-digit GUID), plus last four digits of the card, billing address, etc.
      • The billing team can verify ownership via your credit-card details and cancel it on your behalf.
    3. After you regain access or support helps you, cancel in the portal
      • Go to Cost Management + Billing → Subscriptions
      • Select the subscription → Cancel subscription → type its name and a reason → Cancel subscription.
    4. Verify the cancellation
      • Refresh the Subscriptions blade; the status should change to Disabled within 30 minutes.

Subscription cancellation requires access to the Azure account or action by someone with the required permissions; it cannot be done using only credit card or billing details.

To cancel an Azure subscription in the portal, the subscription owner must:

    1. Sign in to the Azure portal.
    2. Go to Cost Management + Billing.
    3. Select Subscriptions (or Azure subscriptions).
    4. Select the subscription.
    5. Select Cancel and complete the cancellation flow.

Only the subscription owner (or appropriate owner for Enterprise/Azure plan types) can cancel a subscription. An account administrator without the subscription owner role cannot cancel it.

If sign-in to the Azure account is no longer possible (lost credentials and no recovery), self-service cancellation is not available. In that case, the only supported path is to work directly with Microsoft Support or, if the subscription was obtained through a partner, with that partner, because community channels and documentation-based guidance cannot access or change account or billing data.

For subscriptions that remain active and cannot be canceled immediately, charges continue until the subscription is canceled. After the final subscription is canceled, Azure closes the billing cycle within up to 72 hours and issues a final bill. The subscription is then automatically deleted 90 days after cancellation.
