Now no matter what I try I cannot get back to my account. Help what am I doing wrong?? This is urgent please.

Deleting the Cadetnet account from Microsoft Authenticator removes its credentials from the app. To use the account again, it must be added back to Authenticator or reissued by the Cadetnet service; simply restoring the app will not bring it back.

    Use these steps and checks:

    1. Try adding the Cadetnet account again
      • Sign in to Cadetnet on a browser and look for its security/MFA settings.
      • Choose the option to set up an authenticator app again (usually shows a QR code or secret key).
      • In Microsoft Authenticator, tap +Work or school account (or the option Cadetnet requires) and scan the QR code or enter the code provided by Cadetnet.
    2. If the account was backed up to cloud backup
If cloud backup was enabled before deletion, the account details may be restorable:
      • On the device with Authenticator, remove any current accounts if needed and sign out from Authenticator as described in How to sign out from Authenticator.
      • Reinstall or reset Authenticator, then sign in with the same Microsoft backup account used previously.
      • Follow the in-app prompts to Restore from backup.
      • If the Cadetnet account only used one-time password codes, those codes should be available once restored. If it used passwordless sign-in, only the account name is restored and sign-in must be completed again.
    3. If backup is not available or restore fails
      • The Cadetnet MFA configuration must be reset on the Cadetnet side.
      • Contact Cadetnet support or the Cadetnet administrator and request an MFA reset or new QR code for the account.
      • After they reset MFA, add the account again in Microsoft Authenticator using the new setup information.
    4. For future protection
      • Turn on Cloud Backup in Authenticator so accounts can be restored if the app or device is changed.
      • Consider adding a secondary authentication method to Cadetnet (if supported), such as SMS or email, so access is not lost if the Authenticator entry is deleted again.

If there is no access to a backup and Cadetnet does not provide a way to reset MFA self-service, only Cadetnet’s support or admin can restore access.
