How do I setup administrator account on windows 11 under my new login

I am afraid your question is not giving a lot of context here -

Are you setting up the computer out of box brand new?

Or are you currently using an account that doesn't give you admin access? If that's the case, do you know, does the computer have another admin you don't know the credential of, or you are the only user on the computer but you don't have admin?

Once I know what the context is, I will have a better idea what your options can be.

To set up an administrator account on Windows 11 under a new login, first create or identify the user account, then change its account type to Administrator.

1. Open the Settings app on the Windows 11 device.
2. Select Accounts.
3. Select Other users (or Family & other users, depending on the build), or use this shortcut: Other Users.
4. Under Other users, find the account that should become an administrator and select its flyout (the arrow or three dots next to it).
5. Next to Account options, select Change account type.
6. In the dropdown, change the account type from Standard User to Administrator.
7. Select OK to apply.

If the new login does not exist yet, first add it under Accounts > Other users, then repeat the steps above to change it to Administrator.

For security, keep the number of administrator accounts limited and use a standard account for everyday work.
