To move from Microsoft 365 Personal with Copilot back to a classic (no‑Copilot) plan, the available guidance is to cancel/downgrade the current subscription and select the classic option when it is offered during cancellation.
Steps:
- Go to the Microsoft account Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the account that has the Microsoft 365 Personal subscription.
- Locate the Microsoft 365 Personal subscription and select Manage.
- Select Cancel subscription.
- During the cancellation flow, look for an option to switch/downgrade to the classic plan (for example, “Microsoft 365 Personal Classic”) instead of fully cancelling. Choose that option and follow the prompts to complete the switch.
If the downgrade/Classic option does not appear, contact Microsoft support or billing support from the same account page so they can review the subscription and apply the classic plan where eligible.
