You are blocked from using Microsoft Copilot. This can happen when Microsoft's automated systems detect activity that violates the Microsoft Services Agreement or Acceptable Use Policy , such as generating prohibited content, automated abuse, or unusual usage patterns.

    Troubleshooting Steps

    1. Review the block notification — Check your email (including spam/junk folders) for any notification from Microsoft explaining why your account was restricted.
    2. Appeal the block — If you believe this was a mistake, you can submit an appeal:
      • Go to https://support.microsoft.com
        • Sign in with the affected account
          • Search for "account restricted" or "Copilot blocked" and follow the guided support flow
            • Alternatively, use the Feedback option within the Copilot app to report the issue
            1. Check your Microsoft account status — Visit https://account.microsoft.com and verify your account is in good standing (no suspensions or security alerts).
            2. Review Copilot usage guidelines — Ensure your prompts comply with Microsoft's Acceptable Use Policy for AI services . Certain types of content (harmful, illegal, copyrighted) are automatically blocked.
            3. Try a different browser/clear cache — Sometimes cached data can cause issues. Try using InPrivate/Incognito mode or a different browser.
