I tried to open Excel but receive the following error message:

We're sorry, but Excel has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. Excel will need to be closed as a result. Would you like to repair now? When i click "Repair Now" nothing happens and I cannot open Excel.

How do I fix?

    Hello.

if repair does not work you will need to reinstall.

Go to settings > apps > installed apps. Uninstall Microsoft 365. Then restart the computer.

    Please go to https://www.office.com

Sign into the Microsoft account you used for the subscription. Click on Apps on the left.

Then on the upper right, click on "Install apps". This will now download the installer file. Once downloaded, click on the file to install. It will install the Desktop version of the apps for you then.

Hi, two things you can try:

    1. Make sure your office installation is up to date: if you can open another app (e.g. Word or PowerPoint), try going to File -> Account-> Update Options. Click on that button, and select "Update Now".
    2. Uninstall MS Office and Re-install it. to do that:
      1. click on Start, start typing Control: you will see an option called Control Panel.
      2. Select Programs and Features. This will open a window with your current installed programs.
      3. Look for one that says Microsoft 365 Apps.
      4. Select it, and choose Uninstall.
      5. Restart your computer.
      6. Once restarted, open your browser, and go to https://www.office.com.
      7. Sign in with your microsoft account (or work account if that is the case)
      8. Once in, look on the bottom left for Apps -> more apps.
      9. When the next page loads, on the top right you should see "install apps"
      10. Click on it and select Install Microsoft 365 Apps: this should download the setup file for MS Office
      11. Open the executable and wait for the install to finish.

Hope this works, please let us know!

    Francesco
