I've bought 365 business basic, I want to link my work email to my account but it won't let me as it says if I leave I will no longer have access to my account. I am the business. How do I link my work email so I can use 365 please?

    Hi @Belinda Fowler,

Thank you for reaching out. I appreciate the information you provided, and I understand how important it is for you to access both your personal and work email accounts in one place.

From what I understand so far, and please feel free to correct me if I am mistaken, you are trying to use both a personal Microsoft account and a work Microsoft 365 account within Outlook. These two account types operate independently and cannot be combined, but they can be used together within supported versions of Outlook.

Since your subscription is Microsoft 365 Business Basic, you have access to Outlook on the web and the Outlook mobile app. The Outlook desktop application requires a subscription that includes desktop apps, such as Microsoft 365 Business Standard or Microsoft 365 Business Premium. This is likely why the desktop version of Outlook continues to prompt you to sign in and does not complete the setup process.

To manage both accounts smoothly on your mobile device, you can use the Outlook mobile app by following these steps:

    1. Install the Microsoft Outlook app.
    2. Open the app and select Add Account.
    3. Sign in using your work account credentials.
    4. Repeat the Add Account steps to sign in with your personal Microsoft account.
    5. Your email and calendar should begin syncing.

For Outlook on the web, a single browser session usually supports only one signed in account at a time. If you want to use both accounts simultaneously, you can open the second account in an InPrivate or Incognito window, or sign in through a separate browser profile.

If you require the Outlook desktop application as part of your workflow, upgrading to Microsoft 365 Business Standard would be the most direct solution, as it includes desktop versions of Outlook and the other Office applications.

If this does not fully reflect your situation, could you please share the exact error message you are seeing and where it appears? That information will help me tailor the guidance more accurately to your scenario.

I hope these details are helpful. Please try the steps above and let me know if everything works as expected. If not, I will be happy to continue working with you until we resolve the issue.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reply. If this answer helps you, you are welcome to mark it as accepted so it may assist others with similar questions.

    Warm regards,
