I have tried for several months to resolve the issue with Microsoft Store not updating existing Apps and not being able to install new Apps. I tried all the usual tricks, wsreset, reregister, etc. No joy and very frustrating. The only answer I got from Microsoft is reinstall windows and reinstall all the software and Apps you loose. Has anyone experienced this issue and how did you resolve the issue without reinstalling windows with a custom install.

Tried all these suggestions and more. Even reinstalled windows but no success. Thinking of going over to Mac. Windows is becoming more troublesome with ever update.

    Hello,

1st try run this command winget update --all

Otherwise (since you have tried everything for the past months and a lot of changes already applied better to re-install clean
    OR

You can re-install the windows and can keep your files/apps/data.

just download latest windows OS > open the Setup.exe file

    OR

use this option (Reset this PC)

    Hi, good day!

Please let me know if you have tried the methods below.

    • If you have a third-party VPN or Antivirus installed, please try to temporarily uninstall it then check if the issue persists.
    • Please try changing your Region to United States if it helps.
    • Please try signing out your Microsoft Account from the Microsoft Store then sign-in again
    • Check the Microsoft Store Install Service

Press the Windows Key + S and type in services.msc.

Find the Microsoft Store Install Service and double click, If the status is Running, right click it then select Restart

If disabled, change it to Automatic, click Start and click OK.

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Do keep me informed by clicking "Add comment" below.
