As from 16th March 2026, there had been many users unable to open up Outlook.

After checking back with the community today, I realized the current consensus still focuses on disabling or uninstalling the Teams Meeting Add-in, provided by the community.
While that works to get Outlook open, it’s not an ideal long-term solution. After analyzing the issue, I've confirmed a way to solve this at the system level without losing any Add-in functionality.

Steps are as follows:

**Locate msvcp140.dll in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16
Show file name extensions
Rename msvcp140.dll to msvcp140.txt
**Open Outlook again and if it doesn't work

**Open excel or any other Office Applications and update Office
**Open Outlook again and if it doesn't work

Download, install both of below files and restart the device:

.Net SDK 9.0.14 [SDK 9.0.312 x64] https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/9.0
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 https://download.visualstudio.microsoft.com/download/pr/40b59c73-1480-4caf-ab5b-4886f176bf71/D62841375B90782B1829483AC75695CCEF680A8F13E7DE569B992EF33C6CD14A/VC_redist.x64.exe

Open Outlook again and if it doesn't work
Locate msvcp140.dll in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16
Rename msvcp140.dll to msvcp140.txt
Outlook should work now, without getting rid of Teams Meeting Add-ins being disabled nor removed.

Personal note: Worst case scenario is reparing Office or removing and re-installing Office again

Tested, verified across multiple workstations over the past week and it's been rock solid.**

Hope that helped without removing Teams Meeting Add-in.
