WHY CANT I GET GEOLOCATOR TO WORK ON WINDOWS 10 IT FOR VERIFICATION OG LOCATION ON SPORTS BETTING SITES. I DOWNLOAD IT INSTALL IT AND EVEN CLICK FINISH WHEN IT APPEARS BUT NOTHING

On Windows 10, sports‑betting “geolocator” tools (like GeoComply / Player Location Check) do not open as a normal app. After install, they run silently in the background and only activate when the betting site calls them.

If nothing works after install, common causes are:

• Windows Location Services are off (Settings → Privacy → Location → turn on, and allow desktop apps).
• Using Ethernet only - many sportsbooks require Wi‑Fi to verify location (even on desktops).
• VPN, Remote Desktop, or virtual machine software installed or running.
• Browser blocked location or local network access (check site permissions in Edge/Chrome).

You can confirm installation by checking Services (services.msc) for a running GeoComply/Player Location service.

On Windows 10, apps that use geolocation (including betting-site “geolocator” helpers) only work if Windows Location services are enabled and working. If Location is off or broken, the geolocator add‑on will appear to install but won’t actually be able to verify location.

Check and enable Windows Location services:

1. Open Start > Settings > Privacy > Location.
2. Make sure these are turned On:
   • Allow access to location on this device
   • Allow apps to access your location
   • For desktop apps (like browsers or betting geolocators), also turn on Allow desktop apps to access your location if it appears.
3. Under Choose apps that can use your location, ensure the browser or app used by the betting site is allowed.

If Location is still not working at the OS level (for example, the Geolocation Service was disabled and won’t start again), fix the Windows Geolocation Service:

1. Press Start, type services.msc, and check that Geolocation Service is not disabled.
2. If it was previously disabled and now fails with “The system cannot find the file specified,” repair the trigger as follows:
   1. Press Start, type regedit, then right‑click regedit and choose Run as administrator.
   2. In Registry Editor, browse to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lfsvc\TriggerInfo
